The CNS annual Conference gathers together scientists, engineers, technologists, senior management, government officials, and students. It is open to all those interested in nuclear science, nuclear engineering and technology, from across Canada and from other countries. The central objective of this conference is to exchange views on how nuclear science and technology can best serve the needs of humanity, now and in the future. Plenary sessions will address Canadian and Global Energy and Environmental Developments, Communicating the Nuclear Message, Isotopes and Nuclear Medicine, Alternative Energy Technologies, and New Nuclear Technologies. Papers will be solicited on technical developments in all subjects related to nuclear science and technology and their great potential for service to the world community. There will also be an embedded Student Conference featuring topical poster displays.

Conference venue:

The conference is being held in Niagara Falls, the heartland of Sir Adam Beck’s power for the people of Ontario. Nuclear continues to build on Sir Adam Beck’s vision, and it is fitting that the CNS will be going to Niagara when a decision is pending on building new Nuclear in Ontario for the first time in three decades.

Winery Visit and Lunch + AGM on Sunday 2011 June 5

Attendance limit for the "Winery Visit and Lunch" event has been reached. Unfortunately, we must cut off registration for this event. We are sorry for any inconvenience. The CNS AGM (3:30pm at the Sheraton on the Falls restaurant) is still open to CNS members.

CNS members in good standing who are intending to attend the CNS AGM on Sunday afternoon 2011 June 5 are invited to a complimentary visit and lunch at Peller Estates winery in Niagara on the Lake region, followed by return to Sheraton Falls Hotel for the CNS AGM.  If you are interested and able to attend the winery visit and lunch, you can register for it on the registration website on line. 

Spouses/companions of CNS members attending the CNS AGM on Sunday afternoon 2011 June 5 are welcome to the visit and lunch at Peller Estates winery in Niagara on the Lake region.  For them, this will be followed by a visit of Niagara-on-the-Lake and return by Niagara Parkway to Sheraton on the Falls Hotel.  The spouse/companion should register separately from the CNS member, so that we know how many people will attend the lunch in total, and how many people will go to the additional tour to Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

Please note that the Peller Estates winery visit must start at 11:30 am sharp.  You can meet the group at Peller Estates at 11:30 am, or you can join the group to board a bus for the winery at 10:45 am latest at the Sheraton-on-the-Falls Hotel.  If you want to join the bus, please send an e-mail to Ben Rouben at ben@cns-snc.ca, so that we know the bus numbers.  Thank you.
